The New Moon in Libra arrives on Wednesday, October 6th. When the new moon is in Libra, it is time to banish the unwanted in your life and plant seeds for new beginnings. Since Libra is all about relationships, it is the perfect time to examine and release the relationships that no longer serve you.
New Moon Ritual
This month’s new moon ritual is all about cutting cords that no longer belong.
You will need the following items:
Pen
Paper
Candle/Fire
Bowl of water
The ability to let that shit go!
As human beings, we all have attachments—whether we consciously realize them or not—and they can be a constant suck on our energy. Sometimes these attachments, or energetic cords, can be beneficial, but most of the time they’re better off released.
This month’s new moon ritual is all about letting go what no longer belongs in your energy. First, grab a pen and paper and sit in a quiet place. Light your candle, and then sit in silence and breath naturally.
Now that you are in a calm state, start to write out any names or things you no longer want to be attached to you. Take a few minutes to do this. Once you have finished, close your eyes, and one at a time envision the person or thing you want to release.
As you envision these things, one at a time, imagine them being sucked up out of the top of your head and into the ether. Once you go through your entire list, take the piece of paper and burn it with the fire from the candle. Make sure you are burning the paper outside or in a well-ventilated area. Once the paper is completely burned down, imagine a bright white light surrounding you. Sit in this white light for a few minutes.
Once you are finished, notice the difference in your body. Things things and people that no longer serve you are removed and released.
