Spiritual Baths are so important for self-care. At least once a month, I take one to cleanse, ground, and go inward. You can take a spiritual bath during the Full Moon (they’re extra potent during Full or New Moons), or you can take one whenever you feel like you need a reboot. There are so many ways to create a ritual around your bath, and I encourage you to change them up depending on the seasons and your mood. Following whatever resonates with you is key!
For me, I like to burn a candle and set an intention before getting in the tub. Usually I burn a white candle for purity. I add Essential Oils to my bath water and say a blessing before getting in. Lavender is my go-to, but remember you can do whatever works for you. I also like to add fresh mint and berries (strawberries, blueberries, etc). The berries truly depend on which chakra needs a little reboot.
I recommend Blueberries for the throat chakra and strawberries for the root. You can drop a few apricots or peaches in your bath to energize the sacral chakra. Those are just a few examples.
I also place a glass of water next to the tub. This is something I learned from my Reiki Master. The glass of water catches anything you are trying to let go of. The first time I took my spiritual bath, the glass filled with bubbles and I saw tiny particles floating around in the water. I guess I had a lot to let go!
Make your spiritual bath fun! Whatever resonates with you, do it. Your spirit may tell you to light a red candle and add cinnamon or mint oil to your bath. Your bath should be something that makes you relax and go within. Play around with what you want your spiritual bath to mean to you.
