Connecting with water is cleansing not only to the physical body, but also the spiritual one (hello, baptism). Today, we want you to set aside time for some water healing. Follow this guide for creating a Spiritual Bath Ritual if you’ve got more time to relax, or use the one below to make your daily shower time sacred. Either way, let water be a balm to your soul today.
Most people know about Spiritual Baths, but did you know you can also make your shower a place to tap into your spiritual growth? If you don’t have a bathtub, or just don’t have time for a spiritual bath, using your morning (or evening) shower works much the same.
When I don’t have time to burn a candle and sit in a tub full of lavender oil and strawberries, I take a spiritual shower. If possible, I do recommend still burning a candle in the bathroom, but you don’t absolutely have to.
As you’re standing under the shower water, before you soap your hair, imagine the warm or hot water clearing away all of the stress and build-up from the day or week. Allow yourself to release all of the things that are weighing heavy on your shoulders. As the water flows down your body, imagine everything flushing down the drain and no longer being a part of your physical and spiritual life. Once you feel cleansed, imagine new, bright energy coming straight from the shower into your Crown chakra.
You can practice this every day, or just when you are feeling stressed and don’t have time to meditate.
